Who We Are

Eric Williams

Lead Pastor / Elder

As the primary communicator for FRC, Eric sees Colossians 1:28 as the utmost of importance: Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

Eric was raised in the snowy state of Michigan and became a believer in his teenage years. He attended most of his undergraduate degree at Boyce College in Kentucky, where he met his wife, Amanda, but completed his Bachelors in Biblical Studies from the Moody Bible Institute. After many years of ministry experience in various locations, Eric had an unbelievable opportunity to be the founding pastor of Fellowship Renewed Church in 2015, relocating with Amanda and his three girls to the heart of Sparta, TN. Eric has since obtained his Master of Divinity from Liberty University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bible Exposition.

Eric enjoys writing, a wide spectrum of music, and being outdoors with his family in beautiful middle Tennessee.

Jimmy White

Executive Pastor / Elder

Jimmy was born and raised in middle Tennessee. It’s also where he met his wife Jeanie. In 1997 they bought their first home and moved to Sparta, where their two children were born and raised. They attended a local church where Jimmy had the opportunity to start a men’s ministry. It was through leading this ministry that he discovered his love for studying and teaching scripture.

In 2015, through the sovereign work of God, Jimmy began leading a group of believers in a home gathering. Later that year, the group would officially become Fellowship Renewed Church. As he helps lead and serve at FRC, his desire is to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12-13).

During the day, Jimmy works for a surveying/engineering company as a project manager for commercial projects. He enjoys serving on the worship team, playing anything that’s competitive, and loves being outdoors hiking and camping.

Sam Taber

Elder

Raised in Colorado, Sam attended The Master's College (now The Master's University) in Santa Clarita, CA, where he met and married his amazing wife Brett in 2013. They spent eight years in Madison, WI before moving to Tennessee in the fall of 2021 with their three young kids.

In the wonderful providence of God, the Tabers found FRC on their second weekend in Tennessee and immediately fell in love with the people and the culture of the church. He became an elder in the spring of 2023 and finds great joy in ministering to his fellow believers as an undershepherd to the chief Shepherd. He longs for people to know and treasure Christ, savor and study the Word, and be thrilled at God's incredible grace in the gospel.

By day Sam is an industrial machinery salesman, and by nights and weekends he and his family operate a regenerative livestock farm. In the rare moments when he's not fixing a fence or moving animals with his kids, he likes to hunt and read.
